How expert invention licensing coaching helped Robert bring his fishing tool to market
With a desire to help fishing become more accessible, independent inventor Robert Trevino secured his first licensing agreement with the support of inventRight coaching. Working with coach Scott, he mapped a clear plan, refined his outreach, incorporated company feedback, and finalized the deal.

I signed my first licensing contract two weeks ago! Without the inspiration from Stephen Key and Andrew Krauss, the training courses and exercises, and most importantly the coaching, I would still be trying to figure out what to do next.

There are more good ideas I need to share. From my early days growing up with a fishing rod in hand, I always dreamed of creating something that could simplify fishing for everyone. I loved the sport, but I never enjoyed the hassle of tying knots, and I knew many anglers struggled with it, too. I wanted to create a solution for myself and experienced fisherman and women but also beginners who often find knot-tying intimidating, and for those with physical limitations, like the elderly or people with disabilities, who may struggle with traditional methods.
Joining inventRight, founded by the incredible Innovation Guru Stephen Key and his partner Andrew Krauss, changed everything. Their mentorship inspired me to push forward, and they provided the guidance I needed to turn my vision into reality, ultimately helping me land a licensing deal.
