Student inventor Aum Dhruv interviews fellow student inventor Jonathan Walker.

Aum Dhruv, a high school senior from Florida, is an award-winning, multi-time inventor. He has developed a red-tide reader which uses dissolved oxygen levels to predict harmful algal blooms and a chitosan-based suture that would aid in injury/surgery care. VisionBound, his latest invention (and with a partner) is a retinal disease diagnostic device to identify diabetic retinopathy in less developed countries. Aum’s achievements and passion for STEM and entrepreneurship have garnered him additional accolades, including FIRST Dean's List Finalist, 1st place Global Innovation Award, DECA Internationals, ISEF Finalist, Boys State Governor, and Congressional App Challenge, among many others. Within his community, he presides over and takes initiative in HOSA, Mu Alpha Theta, SNHS, NHS, Student Government, and more. Aum is also a varsity swimmer, enjoys acting and filming, and volunteers for outreach efforts.
