Inventing and entrepreneurship have always been Sonya’s passion. Taking time off from her professional career as an ICU nurse to raise her family and plant and run a lavender farm and vineyard gave her time to think about ways to improve products that she uses every day.
“I have been coming up with ideas all my life, but I never knew where to start until I took the inventRight 10-step course. My impression of how complicated it would be to invent and license stopped me from trying for many years. Through inventRight, I've learned that while it is still a process, it is very possible,” she explains.
Sonya’s expertise are in the micro categories of toys and games, gardening, house and home and pets.
As a coach, she draws on her degree in sociology — which taught her how to determine what people need, understand their behavior, and appreciate different perspectives — as well as the patience, flexibility, and communication skills she honed during the 10 years she homeschooled her children.
She enjoys photography, cats, and spending time with her family.
