Achieved his first licensing win with inventRight coaching
How inventRight coaching helped Chris build relationships and close his first licensing agreement
Chris Wilke went from sketching ideas in notebooks to negotiating with real decision-makers after discovering Stephen Key, joining inventRight, and working weekly with coach Paul Sorenson. With clear tasks, smart outreach tactics, and support from Andrew Krauss, David, and Paul during negotiations, he moved from initial conversations to a signed deal — and gained the confidence to do it again.
“I’ve had a lot of ideas over the years, as many of us do. I would sketch things out, or write notes on a pad or in my phone. My wife would roll her eyes sometimes because of how much thought I would put into these ideas. Then I had an interaction that triggered something inside that allowed me to think my ideas could be important.
At the time I was listening to a lot of Tim Ferriss on creating your own ‘muse’ to free up time, and I heard him mention Stephen Key.
After reading the book, I researched Stephen and found inventRight. I signed up right away and got matched up with my coach Paul Sorenson. Paul was great at giving me tasks to do each week. He gave me some great tricks that allowed me to develop relationships with some product managers. That’s when negotiations began.
Throughout the entire process, I was able to lean on the knowledge of the great team at inventRight. Andrew Krauss, David, and Paul all helped along the way and I’m extremely grateful that my investment in this program has paid off with my first licensing deal.
Even more valuable though is my confidence that I can do this again. That, to me, is a successful investment!
Thank you inventRight!”
