Built a demolition-tool brand with inventRight guidance
How inventRight support helped Corey turn Honey Badger from pitches into a self-ventured success
Independent inventor Corey Kostman first explored licensing for his Honey Badger demolition tools but didn’t find the right partner. Drawing on inventRight’s practical approach for outreach, positioning, and next steps, he chose to contract-manufacture instead — building the Honey Badger Demo Fork and Wrecking Bar into a reputable brand. He calls the journey an education, where each “no” informed the strategy that ultimately opened far more doors than he expected.
“My advice to other inventors is treat your journey as an education. With each misstep and no you receive, you pick up something of value that can be used to build towards success.
We were disappointed that we weren’t able to find a partner to license our tools products early on. But because we believed in the products so much, we decided to venture and (contract) manufacture them ourselves.
With some good fortune and hard work we were able to build it into a reputable brand, and it has opened up many more doors than we could have imagined.
The inventRight program definitely gave us that extra confidence we needed to keep going and take the next steps.”
