How inventRight coaching helped Shane license his self-defense product
For years, Shane Pickerill kept ideas in sketchbooks and assumed manufacturing was the only path. After joining inventRight, he worked closely with coach Scott to build clear sell sheets, practice outreach, and get comfortable with company conversations. That support helped him negotiate and sign a licensing agreement with a company to bring his self-defense product to market, and he’s now revisiting older concepts with a proven approach.
“I read several books on licensing and took a class on licensing before finding inventRight.
inventRight gave me the actual tools to make it happen. As one example, I needed actual phone scripts to know what to say to companies, and inventRight provided that along with their expert guidance.
Now as an alumnus of the coaching program, I have still gotten help from Stephen Key and Andrew Krauss at key moments that helped me to close this latest deal.
