Ryan Diez is a lifelong inventor whose hand-held dog-washing device, The Woof Washer 360, went viral in 2015 after he found a licensee. After years of stops and starts, he’s eager to share his hard-won insights with new students.
“When you’re trying to get a product out there and just don’t know how, or can’t, there’s no better way forward than to talk to someone who’s done it. I’ve been there — and really, it’s an honor to be able to pass on what I’ve learned,” he said. “Seeing my product in PetSmart gave me of the best feelings I’ve ever felt. If I can help someone else feel that, well, what more can you ask for?
For the past decade, he’s been sharpening his communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills as a member of the law enforcement industry.
In his spare time he enjoys watching college football on Saturday mornings, going to country music concerts, and visiting Disneyland with his fiancé.
Ryan’s Testimonials
I filed my PPA and began reaching out to companies 2 weeks ago. I’ve already got my sell sheet into multiple companies, and just today I received initial interest from the global leader in the dart industry!
Ryan has been fantastic (and very patient!) throughout this entire process! He always made sure I knew exactly what I needed to work on in order to move ahead. He helped me focus on the positives, but was also very honest with me when needed.
You are lucky to have Ryan as part of the IR team, but I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that.
I want to also mention that Ryan has been so awesome in always helping me when needed and to pushing me in places he knows I needed help. I am sending this email to mention him on what he did for me last week. I have been out of the program for a few months now, but he still made time to reply to my email and even called me the next day to see how I was doing. With out him I would not be as far as I am with my projects. I have not yet licensed any of my projects but am very optimistic that one will come soon.
Thank you and everyone else at InventRight for all that you do. You guys are awesome!!
Many thanks for helping inventors and getting our groups organized together.
We wanted to take a minute to thank you both for the very encouraging personal messages you each have given in our pursuit as InventRight clients.
You both know how pursuing a dream is a rather “other-worldly” experience, turning imagination to an intermediate reality and hopefully to a mass-produced reality.
Your encouragement coupled with positive reality-based experience gives this father-son duo a sense that we can do it, regardless of how long it may take. And to top it off by working with a strong coach who “knows” because he “does”. What a winning combination!
Currently, I have a couple products that have serious interest. Like for many inventors and companies right now, things are moving slow, but they are moving in the right direction. Bulbhead is looking to make a TV test commercial for my pull down spice rack. My product has already passed the web test and we have already worked out the term sheet for the licencing agreement. If it passes the TV test, I think they are going to bring it to market.
Also, inspired by your interviews with Otto, and Chris Meade from Crossnet, I started to create lawn games. I invented a new game called Six Pin Lawn Bowling. I have a good sized company interested and will be showing my game to Costco next week. This is a really fun category which I will continue to work in.
I have attached the videos for these products below and would love for you to check them out. Seven years of inventing and I think I’m finally on the verge of a deal, hopefully two.
